David Nevell teaches Voice, Movement, Speech, Dialects, Acting and Period Styles. Currently serving as Head of Voice/Movement and MFA Program Coordinator at Cal State Fullerton, David integrates body, mind, breath and voice.
David’s acting credits include critically-acclaimed productions with South Coast Repertory, Shakespeare Festival/LA, Cornerstone Theater Company, PCPA/Theaterfest, Geva Theatre Center, Huntington Theatre Company, McCoy/Rigby Entertainment, The Gravity Project, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, San Jose Repertory, Utah Shakespearean Festival, and Emerging Artists Theatre in New York. He is a founding member of The Gravity Project and a member of Actors Equity Association and Screen Actors Guild.
As a certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework, David has taught at The Actors Center (New York), Collaborative Arts Project (Tisch/CAP21), Marymount Manhattan College, Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (PCPA/Theaterfest), University of California, Irvine, and Cal State Fullerton.
David is regularly invited to teach master classes in the US and abroad. Recently, he taught master classes at Unitec (Auckland, New Zealand), University of Southern California (USC), Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, PCPA/Theaterfest, the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival: Region VIII Festival at Cal State Los Angeles, and Juniata College. He also has served as voice, text and dialect coach for numerous plays and musicals in professional and academic theatre.
David earned his MFA in Drama at UC Irvine, and his BA in Political Theatre at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
